1A signed partnership, not an informal contact
Collège Ellis is a college-level institution located in Quebec, recognized as a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) — a mandatory condition for any federal study permit. BahiaEd has a direct, signed partnership with Collège Ellis, meaning a clear admission channel rather than an unverified intermediary.
You don't have to take our word for it: we document this partnership, what it covers and what it doesn't, on our trust and verification page (in French).
2What this partnership changes for you
Your file is forwarded through a signed partnership, not an informal contact
The CAQ (Quebec Acceptance Certificate) is required in addition to the federal study permit
Academic and financial file preparation before submission
3Indicative eligibility
Academic: a secondary school diploma (or equivalent) is generally enough for conditional admission to the college level (CEGEP) — the exact equivalence of your diploma (Guinea, Senegal, or elsewhere in West Africa) is assessed by the institution itself, not by a general rule.
Language: the exact level depends on the program chosen. Rather than giving you a generic benchmark that might not apply, we confirm the threshold used for your specific program directly with Collège Ellis before building your file.
Proof of funds: like any institution located in Quebec, Collège Ellis falls under the CAQ threshold — 24 617 CAD for one person, 34 814 CAD for two people (amounts in effect since January 1, 2026, verified September 12, 2026). Full details and the table by family size are on our proof of funds for studying in Canada page.
